WaveCrux 1.0.1
A fix release. Decoder plugins now draw their transactions at the right time on
every waveform, and the PCIe TLP decoder binds to simulation exports that carry
no reset. Nothing else about how WaveCrux looks or works has changed, and new
features are on their way in 1.1.
Fixed
- Decoder plugins place transactions at the right time. WaveCrux 1.0.0
passed sample times to a plugin in femtoseconds, as the plugin interface
says, but read the times the plugin returned as if they were in the file's
own units. On any waveform with a timescale coarser than 1 fs, every decoded
transaction was drawn too late by that factor (1,000 times too late on a
1 ps file), usually past the end of the trace, so the decoder row looked
empty. Plugins that divided their own output to work around this should stop
doing so on 1.0.1. Thanks to openPCIE
for the report (#22). - Decoder plugin manifests accept
enum_labelsas a list. A list with one
label perenum_valuesentry now works alongside the documented object form.
Any other shape names the parameter in the error instead of failing the whole
plugin. The plugin authoring guide
shows both forms. - The PCIe TLP decoder (Pro) no longer requires a reset signal.
rst_nis
now optional, and leaving it unbound means the link is never in reset, so the
decoder binds to a TLP stream exported from simulation without one. - Usage statistics from your first session are kept. If you agree to usage
statistics when WaveCrux first asks, the session you agreed in is now
reported, instead of being discarded before you answered. In the browser,
usage statistics now reach us from Safari and Firefox, and the web app no
longer checks for desktop updates.
