Rnote is my killer app

Rnote support is a dealbreaker for me

If Rnote is not available on a device, I will not buy the device.

For me, a clear example is the reMarkable e-ink tablet. I will not buy one because it does not support Rnote.

From what I can tell, there does not seem to be an e-ink tablet that can run Rnote other than the PineNote.

I have been seriously debating getting the PineNote. I would really like to use Rnote outside while reviewing a book.

Does anyone else have a similar opinion or requirement?

Hi @Tor-Mal ! Thank you so much for your more than generous support and I am glad Rnote is useful enough for your use!

I am currently in the possession of a PineNote so I have first-hand experience with it. I have previously made some improvements catered for this device (the "Optimize for E-Paper Displays" option).
However, there are definitely limitations when using this device in general.
When on the Debian image (https://github.com/PNDeb/pinenote-debian-image), the kernel driver driving the E-Paper display is limited to a certain refresh rate which is currently too low to be productively usable in my opinion, especially when attempting to do hand-writing or any other highly interactive use requiring quick response.
I believe there are efforts to improve this driver to update the screen more quickly, contained in the Archlinux image (https://git.sr.ht/~hrdl/pinenote-dist) but I personally not have tested it yet.

I am also not aware of other E-Paper devices capable of running Rnote.
