Currently the uber test is not passing when executed. Debug any further issues.

Status Update - Waker Registration Issue Fixed ✅

Progress

The waker registration issue (#1944) that was blocking ubertest has been fixed and merged to main. The fix involved refactoring the priority_select combinator to properly maintain future state across polls.

Current Test Status

Running test_basic_room_creation now shows:

• ✅ Gateway and peer successfully connect - handshake working correctly
• ✅ Keep-alive packets being exchanged - connection is stable
• ❌ PUT operation times out - riverctl receives "Timeout waiting for PUT response after 10 seconds"

Root Cause Analysis

The test output shows:

1. Nodes start and bootstrap successfully
2. Gateway ← → Peer connection establishes properly
3. Keep-alive packets flow bidirectionally
4. riverctl sends room creation request (PUT operation)
5. PUT times out after 10 seconds without response
6. WebSocket connection closes: "Connection reset without closing handshake"

Likely Issues

The PUT timeout suggests one of:

1. Operation state machine not processing PUT correctly
2. Response routing not delivering result back to client
3. Contract execution failing silently
4. Message handling in event loop not waking on PUT completion

Next Steps

1. Add detailed logging for PUT operation path
2. Trace where the PUT request gets stuck
3. Verify notify_op_change() is being called when PUT completes
4. Check if result is being routed back to riverctl client correctly
