Fullbleed 2.6.0a4: static components and saved-PDF group opacity
Pre-releaseAuthor static documents with Python components, Bootstrap 5.0.0 structures, reusable styles and named parts. Export a complete document or fragment with to_html(include_styles=True) or to_html(include_styles=False). The API remains experimental under fullbleed.ui.experimental.
Alpha 4 corrects saved-PDF previews of isolated translucent SVG groups so group opacity is applied once. The existing authoring API, document PDFs and HTML examples retain their alpha 3 output. Bootstrap components remain static in both PDF and HTML, with no Bootstrap JavaScript.
python -m pip install --pre "fullbleed==2.6.0a4"Download the runnable Bootstrap kit · Component and styling guide · Report PDF · Styled HTML · Unstyled HTML
Verification is retained in the release record, qualification bundle, complete CSS corpus artifact and checksums.
- The same SVG inputs fail 16 generic and four component preview checks on published alpha 3; alpha 4 passes all 810 generic and 12 component records without changing expected colors or tolerances.
- All 648 SVG PDFs and the same-platform layout/independent-reader images match alpha 3. Existing component, golden and HTML/CSS outputs remain unchanged. The 48 corrected saved-PDF images and Linux independent-reader label differences are enumerated.
- Local coverage includes 926 Python tests: 924 passed in the full run, then the two checks skipped for missing test-only FontTools passed after installing it. All 384 focused checks, 1,416 native unit tests and 11 doctests pass. The complete original results remain in the bundle.
- Source CI and the release pipeline passed. All 15 wheels and the sdist match anonymous PyPI downloads; a fresh public installation passes the component/export checks and 29-PDF source-kit checks. Ordinary pip resolution continues to choose stable 2.5.29.
The fresh independent CSS corpus retains 1,620 PASS, 24 FAIL and 18 disputed references, with a failed workflow conclusion. Every verdict, logged score and retained output matches alpha 3. These bounded checks do not establish complete Bootstrap/browser/CSS parity or accessibility/PDF conformance; dedicated PDF/VT validation remains unconfigured.
Previous alpha and preview downloads retain their original bytes. This prerelease does not replace the latest stable release.
