Fullbleed 2.6.0a7 — component captions and accessible showcase
Pre-releaseThis opt-in component preview fixes table-caption ownership and adds PDF/UA-1 and PDF/UA-2 exports to the authored Common Ground guide.
python -m pip install --pre "fullbleed==2.6.0a7"Captions now belong directly to their logical Table, with paragraph content and the correct top/bottom reading order. Page continuations, nested tables and batch records retain the correct owners. Existing visible layouts are preserved; tagged PDF structure changes.
The accessible source kit needs no raw HTML strings. Use python render.py for PDF/UA-1, or python render.py --pdf-profile pdfua2 --out output-ua2. The same design also exports styled or unstyled HTML. Its independent reader rejects the retained duplicate-caption and nested-MCID PDFs.
Verification: all 939 Python tests and 225 caption cases pass. The exact-tag release passed; all 15 public PyPI wheels and the source archive match the retained distributions. A fresh public installation reproduces the caption outputs and paired Northstar/Common Ground examples. Both accessible guide profiles pass veraPDF 1.30.3 with empty stderr, and render identically. The evidence archive ties 150 independently validated caption PDFs to the shipped outputs by exact SHA-256 identity.
The main CI and Docker checks pass. The separate CSS corpus retains its 24 failures and 18 disputed references; its 1,662 verdicts/scores and 5,489 saved PDF/PNG outputs match the qualified caption candidate. Those existing failures have not been converted to passing results.
The accessible guide is live with both PDFs, the editable source kit and styled/unstyled HTML. Windows and Linux reproduced both profiles from the exact ZIP. The documentation deployment passed; anonymous asset hashes and actual browser downloads pass at 1440, 390 and 320 pixels. See the delivery evidence archive for receipts.
The component API remains experimental. Bootstrap components and HTML exports remain static. Rich-cell continuation with middle/bottom alignment is unsupported. Dedicated PDF/VT validation remains unconfigured. Machine checks do not establish human assistive-technology usability or general accessibility conformance. Normal pip install fullbleed still selects stable 2.5.32.
Assets include the source kit, both guide PDFs, accessible-showcase and caption evidence archives, the complete CSS corpus artifact, every distribution, a verification receipt and SHA-256 checksums. Historical previews remain unchanged.
