How do I specify a custom port of an existing pihole instance?

As I already have pihole up and running, I've specified the below in config.yml

pihole_enable: false

inventory.ini looks like:

[internet_pi]
10.0.0.25 ansible_user=pi

But running $ansible-playbook main.yml fails with:

Is this because ssh is listening to a custom port on the server running pihole? If so, how can I specify this?

@mjsan are you running the playbook on the same Pi that is being set up? If so, make sure the inventory file has the other line uncommented (with 127.0.0.1 on it) and comment out the 10.0.0.25 line.

@geerlingguy Sorry, I should have clarified, I'm attempting to run this on another pi that hosts some containers.

@mjsan - If you run ssh pi@10.0.0.25 from that Pi, what happens? If it prompts for a password (and you're not using SSH keys), you may also need to add --ask-pass when you run the ansible-playbook main.yml command.

I am prompted for the password, so installed the sshpass package to enable --ask-pass. It now fails with:

How do I specify a custom port? ssh is configured to listen to 11111.

@mjsan - You can set ansible_ssh_port in the inventory file.

Thank you, it works now! I did tryansible_ssh_port earlier, but didn't go back to it after specifying --ask-pass :)
One last question - can I set this up on debian based VM? I eventually intend to run pihole on a pizero, and move all containers to the the VM.
