I wasn't able to compile
@sentry/emberwith any version of TypeScript 3.8, despite it working just with3.7and3.9, I don't even...Version 3.8 doesn't add any features that we use anyway, so we can ignore it - https://www.typescriptlang.org/docs/handbook/release-notes/typescript-3-8.html
The lesson for the future: never upgrade a typescript version without major package bump, as they don't use semver
(this should be a poster in every office)
