What do you want to change?

I want to contribute to Issue/Feature (#12852)

Hi, I've been using Ghostty for a little over a year now, and have loved using it. This is my second attempt at contributing to the repository, my first one from a few months back ended up being overruled by a larger overhaul.

I've tried the kitty drag-n-drop protocol, and fully read through the article from kovid. I have access to both Linux and MacOS machines at this time, and I would love to give it a shot. I know it's a little ambitious for a first contribution, but I intend to be quite thorough with my changes and largely avoid the use of AI in directly writing code.

Why do you want to make this change?

Think this is a really dope feature for a modern terminal emulator to have, as well as a technical challenge that appeals to me.
