What do you want to change?
I would like to add a new setting to further customize the cursor style behaviour. Currently, when the terminal window is unfocused it only shows a hollow block cursor, with no setting to customize the style. I would leave the hollow cursor as the default.
There have been some PRs about this feature, but they haven't been completed yet (#12198, #9630, #2818).
AI usage: I have used claude code to navigate and find files through the project, because I haven't worked with this project before, but I have done the changes by my myself.
Why do you want to make this change?
I've been really enjoying Ghostty so far, and I want to give something back, plus learning more about open source and zig at the same time.
