A brief primer on getting started with git as well as some fun programming tips and tricks!

📚 Description

This workshop is designed for beginner programmers who are starting to get familiarized with programming tools and paradigms; like git and Java object oriented design. The git workshop will cover everything you need to get started to work on software projects as well as more advanced tools that can help make your life easier. This workshop will also cover three biomedical programming problems to help you figure out common problem solving approaches and patterns.

💻 Dependencies

• Either Windows 10+ or macOS

• git

  • (Optional) Github Desktop

• Jetbrains IntelliJ IDEA

• OpenJDK 19

▶ Executing program

1. We will be executing programs via the built in compile feature in IntelliJ
