I was building a feature and I walked through all stages and finished the implementation
how in the same spec or feature do I add more.

I tried two approaches:

1. /clarify with new features, the spec will be updated and we can go to plan, tasks, implementation again. The existing code will be respected.

2. Just ask LLM to implement new feature, and update spec.

I also tried both approaches and both worked.
As far as I understand, the fact that after restarting /clarify /plan /task, it overwrites the plan, task, research files is not terrible, these files are essentially outdated after the execution of /implement and are no longer needed.
Even if you need to find out later what was there, it should be saved in the commit history.

For different level of changes, I use different approach:

• Refactoring/Code Quality: Just prompt the LLM to clean it up, then tell it to "update the spec"

• Changing the Approach: Run /plan then /tasks. This keeps the goal the same but generates a fresh to-do list.

• New Features/Requirements update: Always restart at /spec. If you skip this, the AI eventually loses track.

It ultimatel depends on your workflow that goes beyond Spec Kit itself. Once I close an issue on the issue tracker I considered the spec done and also closed.
