This is an important feature as IPv6-mostly and IPv6-only networks become more and more commonplace. In networks where only IPv6 is used for infrastructure (switches, printers, iDRAC, etc.), having to re-enable IPv4 just for GLPI compatibility forces us to add complexity back into our network. Dual-stack networks are more complex than IPv4-only and IPv6-only, and in 2026, for an organisation trying to simplify and secure their network, adopting a mindset that allows standardising on IPv6, and not IPv4, is important for future developments. |

Currently, SNMP inventory is only IPv4-compatible. It would be great to make it IPv6-compatible too.
