🚀 gluestack-ui v5 - Stable Release

We are incredibly excited to announce the stable release of gluestack-ui v5! This major update brings our alpha work into a production-ready, highly-performant UI library centered entirely around native performance.

🌟 What's New?

• NativeWind v5 Integration: We now fully leverage NativeWind v5 (Tailwind v4), drastically improving performance and styling capabilities for Expo & React Native projects.
• Expo Router First: First-class support and deep integration with the latest Expo Router.
• Revamped CLI: A faster, highly-streamlined initialization experience through our updated create-gluestack CLI.

⚠️ Breaking Changes & Removals

• Next.js Support Dropped: Because NativeWind v5 currently does not support Next.js, and our recent community surveys show our developers strongly prefer our library for native mobile experiences rather than web-only frameworks, we have officially dropped Next.js support.
• Universal Templates Removed: With the removal of Next.js, universal (Next.js + Expo) monorepo templates are no longer supported.
• Deprecated ui-next-adapter: The Next.js adapter package has been removed from the repository and will no longer receive updates.
