Why can't I find this REST API endpoint in the docs?

I was looking for a REST API endpoint to search on a repo_id but could not find one in our docs under REST API endpoints for repositories. I did find list-repo-by-id.sh in https://github.com/gm3dmo/the-power which is what I was after. Thank you!

This leads me to my question: Are there hidden APIs not in the docs for general use? If so, i there an admin view or listing of those? Where did the one that I used come from and where is it documented?
