"Route does not exists." error

Hello gmaccario,

I downloaded your framework to check, how does it work and I have encountered "weird" situation. According to debugger in VSC everything is rendering properly and homepage should be displayed, but I still receive "Route does not exists." error. I'm using XAMPP - do you know, what could cause that problem? I'm relatively new to PHP.

just to be sure: did you set up the URL_SUBFOLDER constant to sub-folder in config/config.php?

Hi, this is the path that lead to my project: D:\xampp\htdocs\simple-mvc-php-framework
If assume correctly, I don't need subfolder path here, since I'm not using any (although I tried naming subfolder here as "simple-mvc-php-framework" and then program didn't work)
When I'm using debugger in VSC I receive an output, as the website was rendering, but I still receive message "Route does not exists" - no idea, what I'm doing incorrectly here.

Thanks again for trying out the framework.

The "Route does not exist." error is common with XAMPP setups. Here are the most likely causes:

1. URL_SUBFOLDER Configuration

Since you're using XAMPP, you're probably accessing the framework through a subfolder like http://localhost/simple-mvc-php-framework/
Solution: Open /config/config.php and update the URL_SUBFOLDER constant:

define('URL_SUBFOLDER', '/simple-mvc-php-framework');

Replace simple-mvc-php-framework with whatever folder name you're using.

2. Apache mod_rewrite Module

XAMPP sometimes has mod_rewrite disabled. To enable it:

Open httpd.conf
Find the line #LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
Remove the # to uncomment it
Restart Apache from XAMPP Control Panel.
