With regard to the command-line options for replacing strings (from -> to), would it be possible to express them in terms of a string template function (i.e. solve the conflict he other direction)?

Can I please make a suggestion - would you be ok if easygen did not have the -rf and rt replace parameters?

The reason I am asking is that this is duplicating functionality available in other Linux tools. We are using easygen heavily for code generation, yet I have never used the -rf/-rt functionality.

On any Linux box, both sed [-i .bak] -e 's/@from/@to/[g]' and perl [-i .bak] -pe 's/@from/@to/[g] can do the same thing. Newer seds have better regexp support, Perl's regexp support is legendary.

On Windows, these tools are available using cygwin or bash for windows.

I have thought about keeping the parameters, as per above response, but then it seems to make the code so much more complicated.

Would you be ok with this change?

I actually agree. It is now unnecessary, with the fix to #18.
