New

  • Doom 3 and Resurrection of Evil, with dhewm3 1.5.5 (the maintained version of id Software's
    GPL source), built by Borne for Apple silicon and Intel. Both may be installed in different folders.
    Original discs (version 1.0) need the official 1.3.1 update: Borne offers to download it after you
    accept id Software's license, and keeps only its data files.
  • Download all modules at once: Settings → Data lists every module Borne downloads on request
    (Freedoom, Raze, openQ4, the Quake III, Quake 4 and Doom 3 updates) with one button. id Software's
    updates are only included once you tick the box accepting their licenses.
  • Mirrors: redistributable modules (Freedoom, openQ4, the Quake III patch with its license) are kept
    in the modules release and used if their
    original source disappears. The Doom 3 and Quake 4 updates may not be redistributed.
  • Return to Castle Wolfenstein: found whatever its folder is called, one entry per language, and only
    the original game files are loaded (not mod files such as RealRTCW's).
