How do I get current weekday?

What I meant by the title is to get the current weekday so I can style the weekday to be bold or not, for example:
If today is Friday 13 January 2026, I can style the Fr weekday in the month January of that year. I find some "hacks" but it will not work for my case, since I show more than one month. Is it possible? Let me know if my question is not clear
