Create Wikipedia page for K6

We'd like to have k6 as a part of the load testing page on Wikipedia. The page maintainer would like to have a dedicated page per https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Load_testing&action=history. Once this happens, we should be able to add k6 to the load testing page and resolve https://github.com/loadimpact/k6/issues/301

How about adding this?

Added Wikipedia page page with k6 Introduction. Lets see what happens.

It's been deleted. (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion). As if that is not the case with the other load test tools.

@aidylewis is that what you put for the wiki page? I can see why the page was removed then. For example: Unlike Gatling it supports HTTP/2 and will include in-built orchestration.

The wiki page should purely state what k6 is, its features, and where to find it. See the gatling and jmeter pages.

K6 is both an HTTP load and functional test tool, written in Go and using the goja embedded JavaScript interpreter for test scripting purposes. Tests are written in ECMAScript 6 using the Babel transpiler. There is support for HTTP/2, TLS, test assertions, ramp up and down, duration, number of iterations etc. Standard metrics include reports to standard out but can include collectors that report to time-series databases which can be visualised in real-time. There is a Jenkins plugin that can be combined with thresholds (global pass/fail criteria). The first public release was on Jan 18th 2017 and k6 is licensed under the AGPL.

The below script executes a GET request on the BBC HomePage, checks whether the HTTP status code is 200 and if we are using the HTTP/2 protocol.

The test by default will run one virtual user for one iteration although options can be set either with command line switches or as a JavaScript code block.

I've been discussing a bit with the editor who turned down @mostafa's proposal, and yet, we've not reached an understanding around whether k6 fulfils wikipedias requirement on software noteworthiness.

Given that gatling is listed, I think k6 would qualify as well, so I'm gonna continue pursuing this for a bit.

Will update here if I make any progress.
