After upgrading mqtt-plugin to v1.2.0 there are this error if MQTT has no encryption:

Yap - same issue here, as well. Did never configure TLS, thus unable to check whether it would work with TLS.
MQTT server is Mosquitto

I am running into the same problem, running a mosquitto server. I have tried without and with TLS (using streams in nginx proxy manager), and both result in the same error.

Installing the previous version worked for me, as the current version introduced the issue with streaming key support.
