Privacy Policy for Easy Password

Effective Date: June 17, 2026

Easy Password ("we", "our", or "us") operates the "Easy Password" browser extension. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices.

1. Zero Data Collection and Transmission

Easy Password is a 100% local utility tool.

  • We DO NOT collect, store, upload, transmit, or share any of your personal information, credentials (usernames, passwords), browsing history, or usage statistics to any remote servers.
  • The extension does not have any network communication capabilities (no analytics, no tracking, and no external API requests).

2. Local Storage and Encryption

All your saved credentials and settings are encrypted using military-grade industry standards (RSA-OAEP 2048 and AES-256-GCM) and are stored strictly on your local device within the browser's secure storage environment (chrome.storage.local). Unlocked session keys reside only in temporary volatile memory (chrome.storage.session) and disappear when the session expires or the browser closes.

3. Permissions Usage

  • storage: Used solely to save your encrypted credentials and localized preferences on your own device.
  • alarms: Used solely to run an offline countdown timer to automatically lock your vault for security reasons.
  • Host Permissions (Websites): Used solely to detect login/registration forms to provide autofill and password generation features locally on the page. No webpage content is read or sent to third parties.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the updated version of the extension on the Web Store.

5. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us via the developer communication channels on the extension's store page.
