FS XGS-ONU-25-20NI Doesnt reconnect after optical signal loss.

When the optical fiber signal is lost and later comes back the XGS-ONU-25-20NI will not connect to the fiber network anymore. We expect that in this scenario (for example ISP maintenance) that when the fiber signal returns the XGS-ONU-25-20NI will automatically reconnect to the fiber network.

We have checked the manual, but we can’t find anything that can help us to automatically reconnect. Perhaps it is a simple setting.

This is when the optical signal is lost and returned after 2 minutes. Tx Power doesn’t come back to normal operation levels. Connection will not come back until we fully reboot the XGS-ONU-25-20NI. After 60 minutes the situation is the same.

This device is used on KPN fiber network. Only override slot is used.

2 ideas:

• Standard (at least GPON, not sure about this higher speeds) defines power levels. Maybe the OLT sets a lower power level, which instructs the ONU to transmit with less power and this causes a disruption of the link.
• maybe the -3dBm in TX power is shown when the ONU isnot transmitting, it could be that the ONU is instructed to go to emergency stop state (O7) by the ONU or simply the OLT decided that ONU is not allowed and ignores it's Serial Number PLOAMs. You would need deeper información from the ONU, no idea how to get it
