1. make your public page look clean enough
2. make your GitHub profile and pinned repos tell the same story
3. make sure at least one repo reads like real engineering work rather than coursework or toy demos

A blunt rule of thumb:

• if the template simply saved you time, tip directly
• if your page basically works but still feels generic / student-ish / disconnected from GitHub, use the ¥29.9 quick read
