Beta. Playable at the 30 FPS cap on the AYN Thor, with known graphics bugs and only two devices tested so far.

Update to 0.6.1. Installs over 0.6.1 and keeps your saves (same signing key).

Bring your own game: you need an ISO of a supported Fable II disc. This APK contains no game data (no art, audio, maps or video).

What's new

  • Automatic GPU driver recommendation. The GPU drivers / downloads screen now detects your GPU and shows a Recommended section: bundled Turnip for Adreno 7xx (tested on AYN Thor), System for Adreno 8xx and other Adreno generations get a matching Turnip download offered as an experimental alternative. Mali, Immortalis, PowerVR, Xclipse and unknown GPUs get a System recommendation, explicitly labeled experimental. Manual driver choices are always preserved.
  • The launcher's default driver choice for a fresh install now follows the same GPU detection, instead of always defaulting to bundled Turnip.

Install

  1. Download FableDroid-0.6.2-beta.apk below and open it on your device.
  2. First install only: copy your Fable II ISO to the device, open the app, tap Select game ISO, choose the file and wait for it to install.
  3. Tap Play.

Requires Android 12+, 64-bit, about 7 GB free (plus the ISO while installing). An Adreno 7xx GPU (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or newer) is strongly recommended. On other GPUs, check the new Recommended section under GPU drivers / downloads.

Known issues

  • Hero/dog skin morphing (ageing, scars) is off by default; they use base skin.
  • Items may show black in the chest "take item" preview (fix under test).
  • Corrupted lower screen when the camera is pressed against a wall.
  • Occasional slow frames; short hitches the first time an area is visited while shaders compile.
  • No verified custom driver downloads yet for non-Adreno GPU families; recommendations there are compatibility guidance, not measured performance.
  • Uninstalling deletes saves. Use Back up saves first.
