A STEP file with several solids comes in as one body each, under its own name (#830): A STEP file from another CAD program, an assembly of posts, rails and panels say, was read as one body: the solids were welded into one mesh, their names were gone, and "Separate parts" then found only the pieces that do not touch (8 instead of 23 for a stand whose parts all touch). The kernel now reads the file as an XCAF document, which carries the solids, their names, the tree of groups and the placement of each instance (importedShapesFromStepAssembly in stepAssemblyImport.ts, importXCAFFromSTEP of occt-wasm). Every solid comes in as a body of its own under the name the file gives it, in its place to the others, selected together, with its exact body kept so a STEP export hands it back exactly; a message says how many came in. A file with one solid, with more than 400 solids, or one the kernel cannot take apart comes in as one body as before. Not yet: the colours of the file (the kernel's reader does not hand them over; the parts take layerling's alternating colours) and the groups of its tree (the parts lie side by side). Tried with a 23-solid stand (23 bodies in 3 s, together 2400 x 1000 x 650 mm as the file) and in stepAssemblyImport.e2e.ts against the real kernel. Asked for by @ValSimDim.
A bent tube's opening can cut as a hole (#892): The switch Bore cuts as a hole when grouped, which tube and ring got in 1.113.0, is now also in the properties of a bent tube that has an opening. Grouped, such a pipe is cut as the pipe without its opening and the opening as a bent tube of its own that is a hole - same path, same start, the opening's profile as its outside (splitBentTubeBore in editorBooleans.ts, built with bentTubeParameterPatch, so a pipe stretched by its handles keeps the stretch in both parts) - so the opening also cuts whatever the pipe is placed against or through. Without the switch nothing changes, and a bent tube without an opening has none to cut. E2e test in tubeBoreHole.e2e.ts against the real kernel: a wall across a straight bent tube stays in its opening without the switch and is opened with it, and the hole's outside equals the opening for every pairing of round, square, hexagon and octagon. The guide (English and German) and the AI bridge's description say so. Asked for by @WimSnor.
"Keep proportions" for a round tube too: The switch was missing in the properties of a round tube and appeared only once "Taper" had made it oval, because the round tube shows its outer diameter instead of width and length. It is there now, and typing the outer diameter or the height takes the other measures along.
Start page: clearer layout, the same controls for browser and server storage (PR #957): The welcome guide comes first and can be closed with an X, which the browser remembers; a "Welcome to layerling" link in the footer brings it back. The three big buttons are always shown, and "Continue workplane" carries a thumbnail of the latest design. The designs sit under one heading with Server and Browser tabs, each with its count, the one with more designs first; with a single storage there are no tabs. Both tabs have the same toolbar (New folder, Select, Back up all, Restore backup, sort and view), and on the server tab Create and Restore go into the open server folder. Back up all on the server saves every design in its folders, the empty folders and the server's custom shapes as one ZIP, and Restore reads it back: the Node route and store.php each answer a new ?all=1, and a server that cannot list everything stops the backup with an error instead of saving only part. The orange storage notice became a framed orange card over the browser's designs, shown only when it holds some, since designs kept only in the browser are lost with a crash or an update and a beginner may not know that. The "Custom shapes" server folder has its own icon, always comes first and cannot be renamed or deleted, which both servers refuse too. The dashboard styles moved out of globals.css into dashboard.css. Contributed by @gogades.
Danish: the 1.113.0 texts, the new font and hole pattern sentences, and 19 corrections (PR #947, PR #948, PR #949, PR #951, PR #956): The 546 keys of 1.113.0 and the new guide passages are translated, chapter 8 gains the font list and the eight built-in fonts, and the three keys of 1.114.0 (the dialog that allows more holes) are in. "Mesh" replaces "net" in the Danish text as the rest of the app and the guide say it, and a review of the guide and the catalogue mends 19 passages (holes, "mesh", "own shape"). Contributed by @Henrikth12.
Brazilian Portuguese: the 1.112.0 and 1.113.0 sentences and chapter 5 of the guide (PR #958, PR #959): The 41 sentences of the selection on the start page, the hull, attachments, languages, Cut out, the paraboloid and the stencil bridges are translated, six sentences whose English was reworded are brought up to date, and the new chapter 5 paragraphs (grouping in the background, the bundle's cards, Hull, closing openings in imported meshes) follow. The Cut out section now uses "sólido" and "grupo de união" like the rest, so its heading and the anchor behind the ? buttons changed to recortando-um-solido-de-outro; an old link to the previous anchor opens the chapter at its top. The language stays marked as incomplete until two people have read it. Contributed by @lmagalhaes.
The sentence for a STEP file with several solids is in French, Slovenian and Russian too (#830):status.importStepParts was missing in the three languages marked as complete, which failed the catalogue tests.
