Port opening: Anderson Powerpole blocks of 1 to 4 poles (Discussion #1190): The socket list goes on after D-Sub 9 with Powerpole PP15/30/45 housings stacked side by side, for amateur radio, solar and robotics boxes. The sizes come from the maker's drawing (1327 series): 7.90 x 7.90 mm at the front and 7.90 mm apart, the dovetail tongue 0.50 mm proud, and about 0.25 mm of room on every side - 8.9, 16.8, 24.7 and 32.6 mm wide, 8.9 mm high, corners R 0.5 (portGeometry.ts). The MCP bridge takes them as portPresetpowerpole1 to powerpole4. Names in 18 languages, guide chapter 9 in 15 languages, README. Test portPowerpole.test.ts. Suggested by @Joepic9.
Text on Gridfinity label shelves (Discussion #1308): A label shelf was flat, for a label stuck on afterwards. Each shelf, along a wall or in a compartment, now takes a text of up to 24 characters raised 0.4 mm on its top as part of the bin, under Text below the shelf's rows: one line in a built-in font (Font, one for every shelf of the bin; fonts of your own are not offered here), kerned, fitted to the room on the shelf's top as large as that lets it. The room keeps 1.5 mm from a wall of 0.95 mm with the stacking lip, whose support leans over the shelf there, and 0.3 mm without the lip or against a divider; 0.4 mm from the front, and from a free end 0.4 mm, or the rounding's size where its corners are rounded (2 mm until you set it); and clear of the inner corners' rounding and of a shelf it meets in a corner. The back and front shelves read from the bin's front, the side shelves along their wall from inside the bin, and a mirrored bin keeps its letters the right way round. Inside a mirrored group the letters read the wrong way round, as a text's do; ungrouped, the bin puts them right. The letters' top is 0.1 mm under the feet of a bin stacked on the lip. A text whose capitals would come out under 3 mm is left out, and a note under its row says so; a tray has no text, as its shelves run up to its top. The letters are part of the exact body, built from the font's curves, so the STEP export has them; it is written on the page, where the fonts are, as for a text, and so are grouping, Split and Check clearance of a bin with letters. The edge tool takes 700 pieces of outline in one request, the letters of every bin in it counted together, about 35 letters in Multilanguage and about 15 in Serif or Script; past that, some of the bins go to it as their meshes, as other shapes do past that limit. Letters cost time: the exact body of a bin of 6 x 5 units with 40 labelled compartments of 6 letters each took about 21 to 26 s to build in Node, against about 5 s without them. For letters in another colour, change the filament at the shelf's top, 20.15 mm in a bin of 3 units, which also colours everything above it: the top 0.85 mm of the walls and the lip, 5.25 mm in all. layerling_create_shape, layerling_update_object and layerling_read_scene take and report gridfinityLabelBackText (and Front, Left, Right), a compartment label's text and gridfinityLabelFont. SBC board: the BIGTREETECH Pi V1.2 was a mirror image (Discussion #1098): The board came out as the mirror image of the maker's model: the power terminal, the GPIO header, the mounting holes and every connector sat on the wrong long edge. It is now turned as in BIGTREETECH_Pi_V1.2.step: with the USB and Ethernet at the right end, the USB-C, micro-HDMI, audio jack and power terminal are on the back edge and the GPIO header on the front edge, and the one mounting hole off the Raspberry Pi grid is at the front right. Sizes and heights are unchanged. Reported by @medmed58, who sent the maker's model.
Text in the STEP export (#1337): Since 1.144.0 a design with text could be exported to STEP again, but a text of more than one letter was still left out of the file ("not in the STEP: Text (no exact form)"): only a text of one letter had an exact profile. Every letter is now built from the font's own curves, as the edge tool already gets them (textGlyphProfiles), and the letters are fused into one body (buildTextBody in stepExport.ts), raised or set as a hole and cut into the bodies it reaches, loose or in a group. A bevelled text, one with a rounded top edge or a tapered or twisted text has no exact outline and is still left out, and the message names it. The note in the export window says so in 19 languages. Test textStepExport.e2e.ts with the real kernel and the reported text. Reported by @KevinBrandt66.
Scrollbars of the view: in the right place with the panel minimised, floating or moved, and a setting to start with them (PR #1346): The upright bar stayed in the middle of the view beside a minimised or floating properties panel, and the bars did not reach the corners when the view cube stood elsewhere. Each bar now keeps clear of the panel only where the panel covers its edge: below a minimised panel's header, to the edge when the panel floats away; the bottom bar starts at the left edge, the snap grid control steps up over it and a view cube in a right corner stands beside the upright bar, also at a larger toolbar size. Under Settings, Start editor with scrollbars (off) opens a design with them; it is saved with the design and with Make default. The view bar's switch is still remembered in this browser, so whoever had the bars on keeps them. A key press without a key, which Chrome sends when an autofill suggestion is picked, no longer stops the editor with "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'toLowerCase')". The chamfer and fillet window keeps its settings (#1342): Every start of the edge tool set its settings back, and Apply and Undo start it anew on the changed body, so size, angle, threshold, preview quality and the switches had to be set again after every step. The settings a user changes are now kept in this browser, one set each for chamfer, fillet and chamfer-fillet (lib/edgeModifierMemory.ts), and the next start takes them: after Apply, after an undo and when the tool is opened again. A kept size the body cannot take gives way to the one worked out from the body; the threshold the tool lowers by itself to reach an edge is not kept, nor are the picked edges or the chain switch, which starts on for a body's first treatment and off after that. The MCP bridge passes its own values and is unchanged. Guide chapter 6 in 15 languages.
A click on empty space ends Align again; Shift-click makes the plate the reference (#1340): Since 1.139.0 a click on the empty plate in Align made the plate the reference for equal gaps and a second click let it go, so Align could no longer be left by clicking beside the parts, as before and as in Tinkercad. A plain click on empty space now clears the selection and ends Align again; the plate becomes the reference with Shift held (a second Shift-click lets it go). The start message, the hint of the greyed equal-gaps dot and the guide (chapter 4, 15 languages) say so; messages in 19 languages.
SBC board: the number fields show their whole value (Discussion #1344): "Reach through the wall (mm)" took the room it needed, and its field was squeezed until the last digit was cut off. The board's three number fields now keep a fixed width and a long label wraps (globals.css). Measured in headless Edge in English, German and French: each field 76 px wide, inside the card, its value in full. Reported by @grmonsey.
A picture on a transparent background keeps all of itself when imported (Discussion #1199): The import traced either the dark or the light part of a picture, and on a transparent background it chose the one with more pixels: a logo of black text round a large light blue oval came in as the oval and some flecks of its blue letters, without the text. On a transparent background every pixel that is not transparent is now the shape, whatever its colour (importedPictureTrace in pictureIcon.ts, byOpacity in rasterTrace.ts); an opaque picture is traced as before.
Center on workplane goes to the plate the body stands on (Discussion #1355): With several build plates, Center on workplane always sent the selection to the middle of the first plate, so a body on the second plate jumped back to the first. It now goes to the middle of the plate under the selection's middle; on a workplane laid on a face nothing changes.
Framing square: the height number no longer lies on the body (Discussion #1279): At height 0 the height arrow has no length, so its middle is the body's corner and its number covered the body. The number now steps sideways out of the body's outline on the screen, on the side nearer the arrow, and the spreading of the fields keeps it clear of the body (rulerDimensions.ts). Test rulerDimensions.test.ts. Reported by @Gpic2030.
