Absolutely! I'm very appreciative of the time you've put into improving this project, and I apologize that I've been too busy and/or unmotivated to get most of it across the finish line yet. I'm fixing a FreeBSD bug today that is very high priority, but tomorrow or Thursday I'll try to follow up on this and other PRs. I think at this point we definitely need a sidebar layout (shadcn) for easier navigation. We'll also have SMART data and Proxmox VMs / LXC containers coming in the not too distant future. |

@henrygd do you have any indication when #1133 and #1026 will be merged? Just so I know when I can continue with this item |

Not sure if anyone is still working on this or if there are any plans to get this integrated? |

Hi @henrygd,
There have been a few requests to add things like Speedtest and (TCP) Ping to the agent. Would you still be interested in including these kinds of tests? It’s a bit of a shift from the original focus on server monitoring that Beszel started with.
Out of personal curiosity and for learning purposes, I put together a version of the agent that can run Speedtest, Ping, DNS, and HTTP checks, with the configuration being pushed from the hub over WebSocket. If you’re still interested, I’d be happy to spin up a PR for it. Here’s a quick preview of what it looks like:
I would need to work out the UI side of things, but I’m confident that can be figured out.
As an option, we could also make it a secondary agent to keep the system monitoring separate from the “internet” checks.
Looking forward to hear your thoughts.
