Help with hoymiles hm1500 and b2500 opendtu configuration

Hi, i have a b2500 connected to two hm1500 inputs , the other two inputs are connected to solar PV.
i am using DPL with shelly em .
The problem that i have is that the b2500 sometimes starts to send power to inputs but after a while it stop. It does not feed any power from battery until reach sunset when input from PV is zero watt, after that it starts to feed power corretcly to inverter until discharged . Is as something block the b2500 feed for some reasons , any option to enable on opendtu on battery?

The issue was resolved with a firmware update from Marstek. What Marstek version does your B2500 have? The following firmware version resolves the issue for most users: HMA series, firmware version 230.xx HMJ series, firmware version 116.xx

hi, i have a HMJ-2 firmware 116.6 and unfotunately for me is not resolved with last firmware

I don't use OpenDTU on Battery to control Marstek, but rather the other project, Tasmota Ecotracker Emu. I know your problem with Marstek, but it's solved here for me. My workaround was to set a timer that more or less forces Marstek to switch passthrough at DoD 99%. Timer 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, 150 W output in the summer months, that was effective. Now in the dark season it's more difficult.

However, this always assumes that surplus feed-in is enabled in the app, and given the current darkness, you should give the LiFePO₄ cell more time to balance. It might be that with only 10 W of surplus, the Marstek has nothing left for passthrough. :-)

I didn't understand well for english how do you set up when the battery reaches 99% DoD (meaning it's almost fully discharged) i have to force passtrought? . i actually set passtrought and surplus active all time . then tried both with with auto ( shelly driven ) or with max output but not worked for me.

i have search for Tasmota Ecotracker Emu . does it work only with ir meter? interesting but probably is it not functional with italian power meter

Ecotracker Emu requires a Tasmota infrared reader, e.g., Hichi Bitshake

Passthrough at Marstek only works when the battery SoC has reached 99%. Only then does the timer or surplus feed-in function.

Sorry for my english i tought 99 of discharge. For me with 100 of charged battery passtrought does not work . I can force to start surplus disabling and enabling but After some minutes It stop to work

Disable Dynamic Power Limiter (DPL) in OpenDTUonBattery for the inverter where the Marstek is connected, and observe how the surplus feed-in works or doesn't work. I would now proceed by process of elimination.

I assume you've also set "Simultaneous charging and discharging" in the Marstek app under "Settings/Charging Settings." Otherwise, passthrough mode isn't even accessible in bad weather in Germany (or only at SoC 99%). I have no idea what the weather is like in Italy. 😀
