May I suggest trying GPU screen recorder or obs-vkcapture |

after updating to 0.55 and migrating my config to lua, the issue seems isolated to swapping workspaces and then swapping back, and it doesn’t happen always. it should be noted that i am using reshade with ffxiv, though this issue happens even without it. stopping my screenshare and restarting it fixes the stuttery frame times, but this is not ideal. |

i'm not sure how to trigger it necessarily, but on aquamarine 0.11.0 its far worse than on 0.10.0. it happens on both, but on 11 it's far more noticeable. this never happens when not screensharing, or at least it doesnt appear to. maybe the issue is only exacerbated by screensharing but randomly the game will decide to get all stuttery and nasty feeling when rotating the camera with the mouse. it's extremely inconsistent and sometimes happens upon screenshare and sometimes does not. i noticed in aquamarine 0.11.0, my rollinglog was being spammed with "ERR from aquamarine ]: drm: Cannot commit when a page-flip is awaiting" whenever moving the mouse ingame. 0.11.0 also introduced a bug where moving the mouse at all caused the game to slow/frametimes to drastically change. it happens on both my laptop (nvidia 4080) and my PC (AMD 7900xtx). on my laptop, i can fix it by disabling immediate mode for ffxiv, but this is not the fix for my desktop on amd. the only way i could fix it was: downgrading aquamarine from 0.11.0 to 0.10.0 drops the mouse movement frametime bug, but unfortunately the bug where moving the camera and dropping the frametime still occurs. far less noticeable in 0.10.0 and almost nonexistent when not screensharing. issue does not occur on kde plasma whatsoever.

i am unfortunately not technically literate enough to diagnose this issue entirely on my own, and its extremely disheartening as it makes playing what is essentially the only game i play unbearable. the best i could do as of now is downgrade aquamarine and it seems to have had a significant improvement, albeit not a perfect one. the rest may be attributed to ffxiv and/or reshade and/or xdph.
i used dxvk overlay to watch my frametimes and i can confirm that despite my fps displaying as the same or slightly higher by a frame or two during the stuters, the frametimes go wild.
