Improve the code to pass WP's coding standards

Would love to collaborate in improving GWT's to pass automated build from Travis and checking against WP coding standards: https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/best-practices/coding-standards/ to make more secure and consistent.

I tried to do an automated check with it and it seems there are a lot of violations, we could start with a PR and continue the evaluation from there if it is ok with you @v0j?

Thanks for the best practices and CI testing. I need assistance on how to fix some other issues that I might not be familiar yet.

I created a new branch for this that is dedicated for WordPress coding standards.

As you may know, this project is no longer active since maintainers (such as myself) are no longer involved with the organization that maintains this. We have yet to turn-over this to someone within the organization.

You may still fork this project and create a PR for this.

Would you agree if we can have an open-source community driven/maintained fork of this theme @v0j ? It would drive a lot of collaborators and move this theme in a faster development phase?

Thanks for the update. Anyway, I'm still thinking of forking the project or probably rewrite the code from scratch. I agree with @carl-alberto on having an open-source community driven fork of this theme.

Yes! Everyone using the theme would benefit from it.

If we were to fork this to open-source, maybe we could organize a meet-up (virtual, of course, lol) so that we can plan on how we can move forward.
