One core. Smoother worlds.

Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.8.

Real in this release

  • Quill Render: entity render-distance cutoff (default 128 blocks)
  • Quill Render: distant sign/skull block-entity skip
  • Quill Logic: idle mob GoalSelector throttle (from 0.1.0)
  • Quill Logic: villager Brain.tick idle throttle
  • ModMenu + Cloth Config settings screen (optional soft deps)
  • /quillcore status/reload/reset/set/bench with real tick/frame samples
  • 28 unit tests; CI on GitHub Actions

Still stubs (honest unavailable)

  • FSR, XeSS, FrameFX, frame generation — see docs/FEASIBILITY.md
  • CSR permanently excluded
  • No fabricated Sodium/Lithium benchmark numbers

Install

  1. Fabric Loader + Fabric API for 1.21.8
  2. (Optional) ModMenu + Cloth Config
  3. Drop quillcore-0.2.0.jar into mods/
