Incorrect storage indicator for on device media for Android app 2.4.1

The bug

After updating server and mobile apps from 1.135.3 to 2.4.1 have problems with storage indicator on android.
Photos tab showed cloud indicator for all photos, but 'Library -> On this device' showed 'not uploaded' icon for all photos, a lot of them were uploaded on server before from this device. Even if click upload, icon not changed.

After switching to 'On this device' album I observe some error in logs, it attached in logs section.

2. Go to 'Library'
3. Go to 'On this device'
4. Check storage indicator icons
5. All icons show not synced status

What I tried to fix:

• Log out, then relogin
• Clear all cache and data
• Run generate thumbnails job

So the data sync looks like it doesn't finish due to networking error. Can you describe your network setup?

Does this property saved in server db? Is it possible to check it directly?

Tested on another device Xiaomi Pad 5 Android 13. Same problem, but even without errors in logs, looks like storage indicator broken.

I have the same exact problem with 2.5.6 (Android 12).

In the app, under library tab > on this device > camera folder (for example) the storage indicator is crossed with a line,indicating the image was bit synced, which is not true. But under the photos tab, the same images have a an empty cloud icon (no line, no checkmark), indicating it's uploaded to the server?

The folder in question was not synced, when I synced it the storage indicator worked.

So, this problem appears with images in non synced folders.

I would expect the icon to show that the local images exist on the server, even in non synced folders

My server exists within my home LAN and is not exposed to WAN. So I only use the app at home.

@alextran1502 in 1.137.0 I saw fix: backup indicator in beta app bar in release notes, could it be a reason for this bug?

I have the same problem with 2.5.6 (Android 10), and it does not harmonise with the description "Sync only selected photos" at https://docs.immich.app/features/mobile-app/#sync-only-selected-photos.
A clumsy workaround would be to create a subfolder on the mobile, e.g., in the Camera folder, and move the desired files into it. Then select that folder ("Album") for backup.
When I follow the instructions under the "Sync only selected photos" heading, the selected photos are indeed uploaded to the server. Still, the Storage indicator does not change status from "Local-only asset" to "Asset is synced to the server".
