  • How is lo/g/os differnet from Arch? lo/g/os is very similar to Arch. It uses a different installer (Arch places the user into a CLI with no directions), has some preinstalled packages, and themeing, but remains essentially Arch. Work is being done to develope other components, notably riceDB, a riced configuration manager inspired by pacman. As time goes on, lo/g/os will continue to go its own way.
  • What makes lo/g/os different from other /g/ OS's (i.e., is ths going to last?)? Many other /g/ OS's failed to set themselves apart from other distros, in that they basically added theming and bloat to their bases, but little else. lo/g/os is aware of that trap, and is intending to follow the Arch Way, to develope tools that enable the user to further their goals without forcing decisions upon them. That said, the best way to make this a distro that will last, is to help out. Look around and see if there is a place that you can contribute, or ask on a chat thread.
  • Is'nt this a Joke? Well, it was a joke on the 4chan board, that is why we have a logo and a name before we have that much else. But now we have serious developers working on making this something that might legitimateley be useful.
  • Where do I go for support? Currently, there is not a dedicated IRC or other place. I suggest that you post on the current 4chan thread until we get something better going.
