Redirection of perfspect.log

Is there a way to redirect the perfspect.log file to some directory? If perfspect is run as cron system service - I dont seem to find the log anywhere.

Not currently. There is an un-implemented flag (--syslog) present in PerfSpect today that I had completely forgotten about. The intent was to redirect the log output to syslog to leverage syslog's file rotation facility, so we don't have to worry about the cumulative size of log files when running perfspect metrics continuously. In addition, standard/common Linux methods of reading/viewing logs could be used.

Would logging to syslog work for your use case?

Thanks @harp-intel, yes I misunderstood, since the option seems to exist but now I understand that its non-functional.
In that case, yes, it would be beneficial to have it log to syslog
