how to generate haxm-7.6.5-setup.exe from source files

In haxm-7.6.5 release package, I find it provides a file named haxm-7.6.5-setup.exe but not a regular driver file IntelHaxm.sys.

How can I generate haxm-7.6.5-setup.exe from source files? Thanks!

I'm not clear what you are after: 'haxm-7.6.5-setup.exe' is AFAIK a NSIS installer that contains four different versions of 'IntelHaxm.sys'.

OTOH you could build your own version of said file by just following the instructions

I mean, in previous release version, we directly get IntelHaxm.sys, but why in 7.6.5 release version, it is haxm-7.6.5-setup.exe.
I guess the IntelHaxm.sys file is packed into the haxm-7.6.5-setup.exe? so how can I generate a haxm-7.6.5-setup.exe file from IntelHaxm.sys?

I don't recall if there was ever a HAXM release that directly contained an 'IntelHaxm.sys' file. AFAICR up to release v7.6.1 the installer contained multiple MSI files, which each had one or several 'IntelHaxm.sys' files inside.

In either case, it's pretty trivial to extract an 'IntelHaxm.sys' file form such an installer (e.g. I'm using '7z' for this). Your problem starts when you don't know, which one of the multiple versions of this file (e.g. x86 or x64) is the correct one for your OS. This is exactly the kind of issue an installer is meant to solve for you.
