SCSS break on tab.scss ?

I'm getting error www/lib/ionic/scss/_tabs.scss (Line 127: Base-level rules cannot contain the parent-selector-referencing character '&'.)
whilte watching the scss with sass --watch scss/:www/css/ with ionic and sass version 3.4.9

I'm using nightlies.

I confirm scss is back to compiling with beta 14
