Cannot disable Tab

A tab has no option to disable it, especially when we use an image in the title to provide a tab icon logo.
We cannot disable the click because the complete tab gets completely replaced and is not transcluded. If you hover the mouse over the image the user sees an image tag as hover title.
In our case we want to completely disable the click on the tab.
I think if there is no href attribute provided the tab should not set a link at all or disable any click.

Does someone have an idea here how can can easily prevent a click/tap on a tab?

Have you tried: <ion-tab ng-click="e.stopPropagation()">

I tried both ... the ng-click attr is completely thrown away.
ng-click="e.stopPropagation()" results in the default tab ng-click

Do you have any idea how i could disable the tooltip over the tab?
It ever shows the <img .. tag as tooltip, because it stays in the title of the tab.

Good point! Could you open an issue to remove the title attribute from the tab?
