Veo 2.2 — Worktrees, providers, and checkpoints
Veo 2.2 brings project workflows into the app: isolated worktrees, Veo-owned model providers, workspace checkpoints, and questions that don’t stop the turn.
What’s new
- Models you bring into Veo — Connect Anthropic, DeepSeek, xAI/Grok, Kimi, OpenRouter, or a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint without writing Codex CLI config. Sign in with Grok or Kimi Code through OAuth, keep keys in Veo’s Keychain, and hide models from the composer with the enabled-models list.
- Project workflows — Per-project model and reasoning defaults, named shell actions with shortcuts, isolated Git worktrees, Review comments on patch lines, GitHub pull-request status, a prompt library, and quoted assistant passages with source navigation.
- Checkpoints and Edit from here — Restore an earlier prompt and later conversation from paginated Codex history. Optional per-project workspace checkpoints restore tracked files and the staged split from Review, with recovery copies when restoration is refused.
- Questions while the agent keeps going — GPT-6 Astra can ask from above the composer without stopping the turn. Choose a suggestion or type an answer, send to steer, or dismiss. Drafts survive restarts.
- Terminal, composer, and newer Codex workflows — Drop files onto a terminal pane to insert quoted paths. Customize command shortcuts in Settings. When the connected CLI supports it, Veo surfaces background agent terminals, live turn settings, and richer approval review.
