Veo 2.3 makes model selection more deliberate: opt-in first-turn Auto routing, GPT-6 family Auto, context-window controls, and improved Grok 4.7 support.
What’s new
- Auto chooses once, then stays put — Opt into routing the first prompt across your enabled models, reasoning efforts, and speeds, then keep the chosen route for that chat. Choose Jev with your own key or your configured Utility model; a visible fallback keeps the chat usable if routing is unavailable. Jev sends up to the first 24,000 characters of the first prompt to TypeSafe AI.
- GPT-6 family routing — GPT-6 Sol and Luna join Astra in the picker when available. The new 6 Auto route coordinates implementation, escalation, and review, with single-model fallbacks where a variant or multi-agent support is unavailable.
- Context controls — Set a supported model’s context window with a preset or custom token count, respect model-specific limits, and return to the default. Provider metadata supplies context limits where available.
- Grok 4.7 compatibility — More reliable catalog and request handling for Grok 4.7 and its Fast variant.
