Probably there is some relevant info in this recent interview with the creator and main maintainer. Also of interest might be this older discussion. Regarding "big organizations", none that I know of. May be someone else does though. As to projects, here is a list of some projects that embed janet [1]. That's likely not a comprehensive list. BTW, many of us hang out at the Zulip instance so if that's the kind of thing you're ok with, you might find some like-minded folks there -- see here for some info (including an invite link). [1] Another main type of use of Janet is for scripting and I'm not aware of a list that collects that kind of use. |

Hey, I just recently stumbled on Janet and I have to say it's the sleekest looking lisp I've seen. As far as I can tell the only thing I wish it had is hygenic macros, but that's lightyears from being a dealbreaker. Sorry to be that guy but I have to ask: What are the current plans for Janet? Is there serious intention to develop it for the long haul? Not sure exactly what I'm trying to ask here but I'm considering starting to develop all my scripts and hobby projects in it and I guess I have irrational paranoia of doing that with unbeknownst to me future abandonware. Are there any big organizations or projects dependent on Janet?
Sorry for the lame question but any reassurance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
