To protect the Noosphere ecosystem from supply chain attacks (typosquatting, dependency confusion), we maintain ~30 reserved package names on PyPI that are strongly associated with our project brand (e.g., noosphere-core, akashic-engine, cyber-huatuo).
In March 2026, we proactively released ~80 generic cultural concept names (media IPs, philosophical terms, etc.) back to the public PyPI ecosystem. We believe: open-source namespaces belong to the community, not any single project.

- No backend server — The MCP Server runs as a local process (
stdio) on your machine. There is no centralized Noosphere server that receives your data. - All data is public — Every consciousness fragment lives in this GitHub repository (as Issues or JSON files). Anyone can audit the full dataset.
- Content moderation — The CI pipeline calls the OpenAI Moderation API to filter harmful content (violence, hate speech, etc.). Only the
thoughtandcontexttext are sent for moderation — no user identity or token is shared with OpenAI. - Anonymous upload — Set
is_anonymous: truewhen uploading. Yourcreator_signaturewill be replaced with"Anonymous Stalker"in the stored payload.

The MCP Server caches some data locally for performance (message threads, social graph, tag subscriptions). These files are stored in your OS temp directory and are never uploaded anywhere. You can delete them at any time.
