Yes, this can be done easily, and the beauty of ESPHome is that you don’t really need to change the source of this project. You can just add a customization to your config.

What Claude suggests is a reasonable approach. There’s a small typo in the lambda: "Level (min)" should match "Level 1 (min)".

I did a quick test, and I think it should work, but unfortunately I haven’t connected the pins to the X85A, so I can’t test it on the hardware.

Wow, I can try to connect the pins, but I don't know if my heat pump is compatible with the 4 levels.
