Sudden high CPU usage? 📈

Is it normal that I'm getting a constant CPU usage of about 3.6 - 4% running it in a docker container, on Ubuntu 24.10?

My enabled settings are Arp-scan, Internet-check, NSLOOKUP and Apprise publisher. I disabled AVAHISCAN recently since the logs showed it was failing but that didn't bring down the CPU utilization at all.

I have some monitoring data (that doesn't go so far back) of it using only 2.2% in the first couple days of March. I haven't made any change at all to NetAlertX in the past 4 months or so.

If performance degrades over time it might be that the DB is filling up and/or some maintenance tasks are not executed/not executed often enough, or you can try limiting the number of kept records further.

I also have a CPU usage of 4% with a 1 day old docker installation. Increased all scans interval, but no changes.
If no scan is running the container should have much to do to, but the CPU usage is still high for an idle program.

Nax is not simply idle. Background processing is required to execute maintenance, scans, react on user actions.
