Totally agree. We now first focussed on functionality and getting things working.

Yes it is the final week, but we can improve and extend this for years. This is how far we came now. We will update some issues soon; maybe not everything this week... Most important is that things are working.

We had a big last moment issue last week with the API on wordpress.com sites not being exactly the same as the WordPress API when you download and install it. Because everything was originally tested on some wordpress.com sites a lot had to be reworked. That was the priority. Yes it was a stupid mistake in the process and I'm to blame for not testing this earlier.

Also: the menu should stay open while using the component.

BTW: in version 0.10.0-beta (released 2 hours ago) the updateserver info was corrected. Not even tested that while writing it now. But until that release the updates were not discovered automatically; you had to download the new release and install that.

You see: although the end date for GSoC's official coding period has passed, there is still being worked on this project.
