Hi there!

❌ Before we can accept your domain request, you need to create a file named CNAME in the root of your github pages site (this may not be the root of your repository). 📝
This file should contain a single line with the full js.org domain you are requesting, in this instance brackets.js.org.

👀 It looks like GitHub hasn't detected it -- can you check your repository settings for any custom domain error from GitHub Pages?

Hi, I'm the owner of the repository. I'll take a look!

A github pages site is being hosted, the CNAME is in the root of the repository. Entirely unsure what's going on.

@MattIPv4 I've re-added the CNAME, does it work now?

https://bracketsjs.github.io/ is still not automatically redirecting to the CNAME, so no, it does not appear to have been detected by GitHub. As I said before, I recommend checking your repository settings to look for any errors from GitHub Pages, specifically the custom domain setting that maps to the CNAME file.

When I add the file manually it does nothing, when I add it through settings it says the domain is already in use.

Ah -- It sounds like someone else already has brackets.js.org in a CNAME file somewhere on GitHub then. If you reach out to GitHub support they should be able to release it for you to use, as we're not expecting anyone else to be using it currently (it doesn't resolve anywhere).

@JaydenDev have you contacted GitHub support? Or are you planning to do so? Otherwise I have to close this as there is nothing we can do without CNAME first released by GitHub.
