One-shot without hold

When I map a key to one-shot, say

    (one-shot 2000 (layer-toggle symbol))

and hold it, the according layer gets activated as long as I hold the key, or at least for one key press. Is there a way to make it deactivate the layer after the first keypress, even if the key is held?

You could define a virtualkey (defvirtualkeys myoneshot (one-shot 2000 (layer-toggle symbol)) ) and map tapping that vkey to your pysical key like (on-press tap-vkey myoneshot)
