I wanted to discuss if there are plans to develop Karakeep more to a Google Keep replacement? In theory the functionality is already available. But I wanted to emphazise the note functionality and UI regarding it. Therefore I wanted to explore if there is an interest to develop the notes functionality further as the project says it wants to bookmark urls, images and as well notes.
What I currently miss is the following:
Pinning entries at the top of the list
Enhanced notes functionality with maybe an text editor for applying markdown, and to maintain lists with more sophisticated checkboxes
More responsive layout which is not tied to a set width, currently arranging boxes but this is set to a max width
Banner image adding to notes and display it on the main screen, currently only showing it by opening entry
Direct editing text of note by clicking into the box, makes it easier to maintain
Backgrounds within a note to make them more vivid. (optional but would be great to see somewhere in the future)
Two columns displaying entries for better overview on mobile
Added a more compact view on the tiles as they are currently big (Smaller fonts, smaller banner)
Did I miss anything important? @MohamedBassem: What is your view on this? Would you see this somewhere fitting in the current scope of Karakeep? Thanks for your feedback.
