Is the KCL project abandoned ?

I recently discovered this awesome project and decided to learn it, with the intention of advocating for it at my company as a structured approach to creating packages for our developer platform.

However, I do have some concerns. It appears that the project may be abandoned. There haven’t been any releases in the past seven months, and only two patch releases for all of 2025.

Looking at the overall commit activity over the last two years, especially from the top contributors, it does seem like development has slowed significantly, if not stopped.

Could we get some clarification or comments from the project maintainers regarding the current status and future of the project?

Thank you for your interest. We have indeed experienced some team changes, but this project is not abandoned; we definitely need more developers to join us.

Are there any plans for next release ?

Expect to release a new version next weekend. We recently did a lot of refactoring #2004, and after completing some bug fixes, we'll be doing so now. I'll open Milestone later.
