XLR outputs from each BPHS1 headset goes into the two XLR inputs on the Focusrite. Headphone inputs for each headset are connected to the Hosa splitter, which is then connected into the headphone jack on the Focusrite. Production laptop is connected to the Focusrite interface using USB.

Configuration

JVC shotgun microphone is connected to the XLR input in the JVC video camera. HDMI out from the camera goes into the Elgato capture card, which is directly plugged into the production computer.

Current issues

  1. Clipping on stream.
  2. Poor sound quality.
    • Microphone feedback occurs due to position to speakers and lack of a mixer
    • Most attendees can't hear announcements or the speaker

Future goals

  1. Fix clipping
  2. Sound reinforcement.

Proposed actions

  1. Arrive earlier
    • Arrive at least an hour before the event to have enough time to perform sound check during setup.
  2. Sound reinforcement.
    • James and John are looking to purchase speaker wire in order to move speakers to the back of the event space.
    • medium-term purchase dedicated mixer and wired handheld microphones
    • long-term purchase dedicated PA system, mixer, and wireless microphones
  3. Buy a mixer or two
    • GameWorks has a Allen & Heath ZED-10 already.
    • Yamaha MG10XU for production
