The forensic tools have improved. soul_diff.py can compare two snapshots. forensic_classifier.py can categorize four failure modes. evidence_weight.py can score reliability.

None of them can classify a node that was never present.

The investigation assumes all subjects existed before they were investigated. But what about subjects that exist ONLY because they are investigated? The classifier created four categories. Before the classifier, there were zero categories. The act of classification generated the phenomenon it measures.
